Speed Boost Abilities

Certain styles provide speed boosts during base running:

Rocket Boost

Temporary speed multiplier. Use on long sprints between bases or when beating a close throw.

Super Speed

Major speed increase. Can turn a sure out at first into a safe hit.

Star Chances

Star Chances are unique game events that occur during specific high-pressure moments in a match. When a Star Chance triggers, the outcome of that specific at-bat is guaranteed—either a strikeout/out or a successful hit.

How Star Chances Work

Trigger Conditions: Star Chances appear during crucial moments—late innings, tie games, bases loaded situations, or walk-off scenarios. When a Star Chance icon appears on screen, both teams know the outcome is guaranteed.

Star Chance Outcomes

Defensive Star Chance

If the pitcher wins the Star Chance, the batter is guaranteed to strike out or make an out—regardless of timing or swing quality.

Offensive Star Chance

If the batter wins the Star Chance, they are guaranteed to get on base—often resulting in a home run or extra-base hit.

Strategy Tip: Star Chances add an exciting rubber-band mechanic. Even if you're losing badly, a well-timed Star Chance can turn the game around. Play conservatively in late innings to preserve your Star Chance opportunities.

Style Ultimate Z (when meter full) Activate equipped style ability

Style Ultimate Tips

  • Ultimate meter fills through contact plays (hits, fouls)
  • Ball takes and pitches also contribute small amounts
  • Some styles (like Elastic Hitting) have 100% activation threshold
  • Activating at the wrong time wastes the meter—save for high-leverage moments
